A reminder that water must not be consumed in Midge Point from today.
Water main works mean that from today to Sunday, tap water in the town will not be safe to drink.
Mackay Regional Council will notify locals on Sunday when the water is ok to drink, via text message, billboards and Council’s Facebook page.

Last week, residents were encouraged to stockpile water to ensure they could bathe and drink during this time.
