An accused arsonist has been arrested in Mackay.
A 19-year-old Ooralea man allegedly set fire to a speed camera trailer along the Peak Downs Highway near Ooralea on Wednesday, January 8.
The fire was extinguished a short time later and no one was injured during the incident.

Following investigations by the Mackay Criminal Investigation Branch, detectives arrested a man in the Ooralea area on February 5.
The man has been charged with arson and unlawful possession of a weapon.
He is due to appear before Mackay Magistrates Court on February 24.
Mackay detectives have thanked the local community for their assistance with this investigation.
