A woman in her 40s has been hospitalised from a snake bite in the Whitsunday region.
She was bitten on the foot at a Preston home around 7.30pm Sunday and was taken to Proserpine Hospital.
The woman has since been airlifted to Mackay Base Hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition.
