An illegal net has been found by fisheries in a Mackay Net-Free Zone.
Officers found the net tied to mangroves on the flats between Murray Creek and Mathers Creek at the weekend.
It contained multiple dead and rotting fish species including barramundi, blue threadfin, small shark and mullet.

Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol are urging the public to come forward with any information about this destructive act.
