Investigations are ongoing after two men allegedly robbed and assaulted two 14-year-old boys who were camping at Barnes Creek.
Authorities say the boys were woken up early yesterday morning by two men banging on the side of their tent.
It’s alleged one man physically assaulted one of the 14-year-olds, while the other threatened one of the boys with a fishing knife and stole property from inside the tent.

Neither of the boys required medical assistance and police are working with them to identify the men.
Detectives from the Mackay Child Protection and Investigation Unit are investigating.
Anyone who saw two adult men near the campground on Barnes Creek Road between midnight and 6.00am yesterday, is being urged to come forward.
