A 17-year-old boy has been clocked driving 73 kilometres over the limit in Rural View.
Police stopped the teen at around 9pm on Monday, while conducting speed checks on Mackay Bucasia Road.
They say the Nissan Pathfinder was travelling at 153 kilometres per hour in an 80 zone.

The driver received an on-the-spot fine, a loss of 8 demerit points and a license suspension of 6 months.
The driver was issued with an on the spot fine of $1,653 and the loss of 8 demerit points, their drivers licence will be suspended for a period of 6 months.
