The 21st annual 2023 Charity Horse Ride run by Breakaway Horse Riders of Mackay raises funds for Ovarian Cancer: the Mackay Hospital Foundation & the National Heart Foundation. The ride will start at Brands Rd, Otterburn (off Eungella Rd). This tag-along ride will take a cane headland route into Mirani for morning tea. Will depart Mirani and head out over the Pioneer River, take a right turn and continue along cane headlands for the lunch destination at McGregor Creek. A beautiful secluded relaxing spot. After lunch and a full belly, they then move on to Dows Creek Hall grounds. At the Bush Muster you will find a relaxing atmosphere, being entertained by live music: “Rebel Uke” band; Mustang Sally (after dark); Kids entertainment; Line Dance Demonstration; Old Engine Display; Market Stalls; Pop Corn; Slushies. MC’d by the Valley’s own Bumkin (Earl Neilsen) The Daly Bay Kid’Z Zone with Jumping Castles; Face/body painter; Art activities; interactive game activities. The Kid’s activities will finish with a kid’s movie at 6.30pm. Jumping Castles available from 2 pm to 6 pm. Spinning Wheel raffles will aid the charity throughout the afternoon, and you must stay for a beaut bush BBQ dinner and enjoy the bar area while listening to the music.
