Locals can get advice next week about Centrelink, Medicare and Veterans affairs, from experts on a two tonne truck.
The Services Australia’s Mobile Centre will be travelling across the region, stopping in regional towns and remote areas to assist residents with any inquiries.
The truck named Desert Rose will be in Sarina on Monday, before travelling to Finch Hatton on Tuesday.
Desert Rose manager Paul Cody says they can help with Centrelink claims, Medicare registrations and accessing online services.
“We offer people face to face access to information about Centrelink and Medicare payments and are equipped with the same technology as any Centrelink or Medicare service centre, including self service,” he says.
“So instead of a customer having to travel into a service centre, we are bringing the service centre to them.
“We can help people with new claims for payments, updating information on customer records.
“We do have social worker support and referrals onboard.”
