PRIVACY POLICY

Personal informationPrime Radio is primarily responsible for a number of radio stations located in Australia. Prime Radio attends to security and privacy concerns by ensuring compliance with the law, including the National Privacy Principles (“NPP’s”).

Use of Information and the National Privacy Principles

We ensure that we comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (C’wlth) and the NPP’s which guide the way we deal with personal information.

Collection of Personal information

Only information sufficient to carry out business is to be collected from you or third parties in an environment which provides privacy. Measures will be taken to ensure that conversations involving the provision of your personal information are not overheard by others.

When information is to be collected from public registers you will be advised that such information will be collected and be informed of the nature of that information. Your approval is required when information is collected from organisation or individuals other than you. In collecting this information we will ensure that it is collected lawfully, fairly and not in an unreasonably intrusive manner.

Use and Disclosure of Personal information

Information is only to be used or disclosed for the purpose for which it was originally provided unless you have consented to its use or disclosure for another purpose. Such purposes include marketing data or for clients who are sponsoring competitions run by Prime Radio. Please refer to our Competition Terms and Conditions for further information in regard to this.

Accuracy of Personal information

It is our responsibility to verify the accuracy of the information collected. Should there be any doubts about the accuracy of such information we will independently verify the information with you.

Security of Personal information

We will only access your personal information when the need arises in accordance with the purpose for which it was obtained. Once the purpose has been completed, we will destroy our records of your personal information.

When personal information is to be passed to other individuals/organisations an assurance is to be obtained from that individual/organisation that reasonable steps will be taken to protect the privacy of the personal information.

Openness in Relation to the Organisation Practices

You have the right to request details on the procedures/practices we use to manage your personal information at any time in the course of a transaction.

Access and Correction Rights

You have the right of access at any time to the personal information held by us. You have the right to correct any information so held by us or to explain something with which you do not agree.

2.7 Use of Government Identifiers

We will not use the identifiers provided by government agencies to identify you. Such identifiers include tax file numbers, motor vehicle licences, etc. This restriction however does not apply to an Australian Business Number, which may be used for identification purposes.

Anonymity

You have the right to act as an anonymous person when corresponding with Prime Radio where it is lawful and practicable to do so. For competitions, it will not be possible to act as an anonymous person in accordance with the Competition Terms and Conditions.

Restrictions on Trans-Border Data Flows

As a general principle personal information we hold about you is not to be transferred to a foreign country. If there is ever a requirement to send any personal information outside Australia then this requirement is to be referred to the Managing Director before the transfer is acted upon.

2.10 Personal Sensitive Information

Personal Sensitive Information includes information about a person’s health, sex life, religious beliefs, political or philosophical beliefs and racial or ethnic origin. We do not have any foreseeable reason to collect such information. However, if the need arises in accordance with the law, we will need to gain your express consent to obtain this information. If collected, we will ensure that the sensitive information is protected and you will be informed of the need for any release of this information.

3. Use of Email for Personal information

Emails are recognised as being an insecure means of communication unless encoded or encrypted. We therefore cannot guarantee the security of this information. We will only use emails to relay personal and/or sensitive information either to you or a third party with your express consent.

4. Confidentiality Clause

All emails initiated by use are to include our confidentiality clause. This confidentiality clause has been set up within the firm’s email system and will not be deleted from individual emails.

Use of Cookies and Aggregate Data

Cookies are data that a website transfers to an individual’s hard drive for record-keeping purposes. They allow for the tracing of user’s access to websites and allow us to customise the web site to your needs. If you do not want information collected through the use of Cookies, there is a simple procedure in most browsers that allows you to deny or accept the Cookie feature. But you should note that Cookies may be necessary to provide you with some features of our on-line services.

Like many web site operators, we use Nielsen – online website and google to measure and analyse the internet usage across our websites.

What Information is Collected and How It’s Used

Upon visiting the Web site, your browser automatically sends Nielsen your IP

address, the type of browser you are using and certain other information. Nielsen may use this information for research and marketing purposes and to enhance the Web site.

When individuals subscribe to our newsletter or request other information from

Nielsen, personal information, including first and last name, job title, company name, e-mail address, business address and telephone number and the industry in which your company operates, may be requested. You are not required to provide Nielsen with this personal information; however, the newsletter and other requested information cannot be sent to you without it.

Personal information is also collected from Nielsen clients who login and provide a password. Such access to the Nielsen services and Web site may also be governed by the agreement between your employer and Nielsen. Nielsen may monitor and record such activity in order to verify compliance with that agreement and to track your activity on the Web site including, the reports and data accessed and downloaded and the time spent on each section or report contained in the service. This activity may be shared with Nielsen affiliates and certain third parties as provided in this Policy.

There may be features on the Web site allowing you to contact Nielsen via e-mail, which provides Nielsen with your e-mail address and certain other personal information contained in the e-mail. By sending Nielsen e-mail, you demonstrate your consent to knowingly and voluntarily provide us with personal information.

Nielsen will not sell, trade, or otherwise disclose personally identifiable information to any third party, unless stated otherwise in this Policy, required by law, or as required to protect Nielsen rights. Nielsen may disclose information collected from the Web site to its agents, contractors and other third parties as may be necessary to perform certain functions on behalf of Nielsen. However, they are prohibited from using the information collected on the Web site for any other purpose. If Nielsen is sold in whole or in part, various forms of the personal information discussed in this Policy may be included in the assets transferred to a third party.

This aggregate data is non-personal information and is provided to us to assist in analysing the usage of our web sites. This data is also accessible by media organisations and research companies, for the purpose of conducting industry comparisons with other Internet portals.

We often provide links to third party websites from our website. As these sites are owned and operated by third parties, we do not have control over them. Please be aware of the privacy policy for each site and examine the terms and conditions that apply within each site.
